Can a hanger be more than just a place for coats and bags? For us at Love 2 Design , the answer has always been “yes.” And with the Sense project, we proved it — not only to ourselves and our clients but also to the global design community.
After winning the title of "Bulgarian Furniture of the Year" competitionin 2018, Sense hanger made its international breakthrough the following year earning the Bronze Award at the A’ Design Award & Competition in Italy, in the category Furniture, Decorative Items and Homeware Design.
Sense – more than just a hanger
From the very beginning, our goal was to create a piece of furniture that thinks, feels, and communicates. The design was inspired by nature — visually, it resembles a tree, with an organic silhouette, clean lines, and drop-shaped openingsthat bring a sense of lightness and harmony. The materials we used — wood, metal, and plexiglass— are interwoven to highlight the product’s contemporary character.
But at the core of it all lies its smart technology. The hanger monitors:
- temperature
- humidity
- light levels
- noise
- air quality (including VOC – volatile organic compounds)
All of this - in real time,through an intelligent system managed via a mobile app.

We created Sense because we believe furniture should no longer be just functional. It can adapt, enhance the atmosphere, and respond to the needs of modern living. With this hanger, we offered not just a place to hang your coat — but a tool for better health, comfort, and everyday aesthetics..
International recognition and pride
Receiving the A’ Design Award was a tremendous honor. The official ceremony took place at the legendary La Scala in Milanwhere our designers — Emil Lichev and Mihael Varbanov — accepted the award in person. Soon after, Sense was showcased at international exhibitions organized by the competition and became part of the global conversation on sustainable and intelligent product design.

For us at Love 2 Design, this project was much more than just a competition entry. It was a chance to demonstrate that Bulgarian design can be innovative, sensitive to its environment, and truly world-class.
