Keith Lucas Lunchroom – Industrial Chic with a Natural Soul in the NetherlandsInterior Design

Project: Interior Design of a Lunchroom
Location: Rhoneweg, Netherlands
Type: Café / Restaurant
This Dutch lunchroom strikes a refined balance between industrial aesthetics and natural elegance. The space exudes urban charm, warmth, and authenticity — perfect for social encounters or relaxed midday breaks.
- Services: Interior design, spatial layout, material and décor selection
- Furniture: Industrial-style pieces with retro and organic touches
- Main Materials: Metal, exposed brick walls, wood, concrete, textiles
- Key features: High ceilings, exposed installations, contrasting textures, warm lighting

Main Concept and Style
The core idea of the design is to blend the raw appeal of industrial style with the organic warmth of natural materials. Metal and brick provide strong character, while wood, greenery, and decorative details soften the overall feel, bringing a harmonious visual balance.
The composition plays with verticality, openness, and texture — incorporating details that tell stories and lend individuality to the space.
Functionality
The lunchroom is designed to be both inviting and functional. Zones are logically arranged, and the furniture offers flexibility for solo guests or groups. Lighting is warm and directional, while acoustics are thoughtfully balanced — despite the use of hard, industrial surfaces.
