STEM Laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology – Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov Secondary School, Shabla Interior Design
Main Concept and Style
The design concept was built around the idea that each scientific discipline should have its own distinct visual identity, sparking curiosity and engagement from the moment students enter the space.
The blue palette in the Chemistry laboratory reinforces a sense of precision, technology, and a professional scientific environment. Green accents in the Biology laboratory strengthen the connection to nature and living systems, while the warm orange tones in the Physics laboratory introduce energy, dynamism, and a spirit of discovery.
Additional graphic elements, scientific illustrations, and thematic wall compositions transform the interior into an active part of the learning experience. As a result, each space serves not only as a place for education but also as an environment that inspires curiosity, encourages scientific exploration, and supports the development of future researchers and innovators.
Functionality
The three laboratories were designed to support both traditional teaching methods and contemporary educational approaches based on hands-on experience, experimentation, and project-based learning.
The Chemistry laboratory features specialized workstations designed for demonstrations and experiments, providing a safe and well-organized environment for practical learning. The Biology laboratory offers a bright and calming atmosphere enriched with nature-inspired elements and educational visuals that encourage observation and scientific inquiry. The Physics laboratory combines dedicated workstations, demonstration areas, and thematic graphics illustrating fundamental physical principles and scientific discoveries.
The interior solutions are focused on maximum functionality, clear spatial organization, and comfort for both students and teachers.
The project is part of a long-standing collaboration between Love 2 Design, Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov Secondary School, and the Municipality of Shabla, focused on creating a modern STEM educational environment for future generations.
